If that transport had gone through town, the droid would have almost certainly been picked up.
Anchorhead
In the morning, the squad radioed in from Anchorhead. The other two fireteams had reunited and exchanged notes.
The second droid’s tracks had disappeared as the desert sand hardened to become the rocky canyons known as the Jundland Wastes. But if that transport had gone through town, it would have almost certainly been picked up. So they proceeded with the investigation on this assumption.
Anchorhead was a small settlement frequented by the local moisture farmers. Ground-based transports came through a couple of times a day, so the droids could have easily switched up.
The squad didn’t locate any hyperspace-enabled ships though. Nothing that could get past the blockade anyway. The most these locals had were small one-man, aerial vehicles the kids had souped up to shoot rodents.
If the package was going to escape this planet, it would have to go through Mos Eisley.
